Pit Watcher

A pit lane stopwatch for the cars you care about. One row per car, showing how long it has been in the pit lane and how that compares with your target times.

Which cars​

Rows come from Pit Watch Cars in Settings - the same setting the standalone Pit Watcher popup and Strat1/Strat2 use, so a list set in any of them applies everywhere.

It accepts more than car numbers:

  • 1, 48 - those two cars
  • GTD - every car in that class
  • GTD, -57 - every GTD car except 57

Leave it blank and the panel falls back to your Hero and Sister cars. With neither set, it says so and stays empty. If the setting names cars or a class that aren't in the current session, the panel tells you and shows the hero and sisters instead.

Columns​

  • Car - the watched car, in its class color
  • Elapsed - a progress bar of time in the pit lane, with marks at your release and pit-out targets. The bar is live while the car is in the lane and frozen on the last completed stop otherwise.
  • Pit Ln - time since the car crossed pit-in. Red and bold while the car is still in the lane; the duration of the last stop once it leaves.
  • →Release - countdown to the moment the crew should release the car. Small text above is the target itself; the value below is signed, negative before the target and + after. Turns green once reached.
  • →Pit Out - the same, against the full pit lane target. Turns orange once reached.

Where the targets come from​

The two targets come from Advanced Stints, shared with Strat1 and Strat2:

  • Avg Pit Lane Time - how long a full pit lane transit should take
  • Box to Pit-Out Time - how long it takes to get from the box to the pit-out line, which is what turns the pit lane target into a release target

Both can be set per car number, per car class, or as the default. Edits made in another P1TS window apply here immediately - there is no need to reload.

If nothing is stored, the panel still runs as a plain stopwatch: Pit Ln ticks, and the two target columns read --- rather than showing a made-up number.

Timing​

Times come from the timing feed's own clock, not your computer's, so they are correct during a replay as well as live, and are unaffected by your machine's clock being off.

  • The standalone Pit Watcher popup window offers the same view outside StratX, and can open by itself when a watched car pits.
  • Pits and Stints shows the whole session's stops rather than the one in progress.
